Rabbi Suzanne Singer served Temple Beth El in Riverside, CA for 15 years before retiring in 2023. She now teaches, supports several Southern California congregations, and contributes to trauma-treatment initiatives in Israel. The daughter of a Holocaust survivor, she has long been active in social justice and has been honored as a Riverside “Champion of Justice” and “Woman of Distinction.” Her writing has appeared in The New York Times and multiple CCAR publications. Before entering the rabbinate, she spent twenty years in public television, earning two national Emmys for the documentary series POV.
