The Guibord Center sponsors The Advancement Project’s “Champions for Equity Awards”

Rev. Dr. Gwynne Guibord and Dr. Lo Sprague were delighted to represent The Guibord Center this past weekend as sponsors of The Advancement Project’s “Champions for Equity Awards” honoring our friend and ally, civil rights icon Connie Rice. 

Connie is a founder of The Advancement Project, a strategic and important organization that “champions the struggle for greater equity and opportunity for all, especially those in communities most impacted by economic and racial injustice.” She also serves as The Guibord Center’s Strategic Advisor. 

Also honored were four youth leaders of Equity Alliance for LA’s Kids, formed by The Advancement Project to ensure that the Los Angeles Unified School District identifies and appropriately funds its highest-need schools.
