The Guibord Center values and respects the privacy of those who use our web site and attend our events. We will not share any information you provide with any 3rd-party individual or organization for any purpose other than to support and maintain the operations of our website technology.
What personal data we collect and why we collect it
Media
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website. If you have attended any of our events, your image may appear in the still photos and/or the video of the event. You have the option, when attending any of our events, to request off-camera seating. Our photographers and camera operators will be informed of your request. In the event that you find any image of you on our website that you would like removed, we will do so immediately within 5 business days upon receipt of your written request through the Contact Form
Contact forms
Personal information that you provide to us by filling out online forms, including newsletter sign-up, is stored on a secure server. To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the correct use of information, we have put in place appropriate physical and electronic procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online. Once you provide us with information, that data remains confidential.
Analytics
When you visit our website, The Guibord Center receives standard web performance tracking data about your visit: information from your browser, including your IP address and the pages you visited on our site, is recorded in our website server logs and analytics platform using cookies. This data is analyzed to understand how well our website is performing and determine how to best provide information to visitors to our website. No personal information is collected during the tracking process.
Your contact information
If you have provided The Guibord Center with your mailing address we may use it to invite you to fundraising and other events, or to solicit donations once each year, usually in November or December. The mailing list is kept private and never shared. Printed copies are used to generate mailing labels only.
Additional information
Plugins and themes used on our website do not collect and store personal data. Our email communications and event registration is handled through Constant Contact. Every communication from Constant Contact contains an “Unsubscribe” link in the footer of the message so you can permanently remove yourself from our mailings. If you register for an event you may still receive information about THAT particular event, even if you elect NOT to be added to our list for future mailings.
