On September 11, interfaith leaders and community members gathered at St. John’s Episcopal Cathedral for Standing Together in Spiritual Solidarity: A Multi‑Faith Commitment to One Another and the Golden Rule in Our Democracy.
Marking the 25th anniversary of the September 11 attacks, we came together to remember those whose lives were lost and forever changed — and to reflect on what this moment calls us to in today’s climate of fragmentation and challenge.
Through prayers, reflections, and sacred words from our diverse faith traditions, we returned to the shared principles that anchor us: the call to stand together in the spirit of the Golden Rule. Across our beliefs, we are urged to recognize the humanity of our neighbors and to treat one another with dignity, compassion, and care.
In a time of deep divisiveness, this commitment to spiritual unity matters. It strengthens our communities, deepens our bonds of solidarity, and reminds us that honoring our differences makes us stronger.
We are grateful to all the interfaith leaders who stood with us, to everyone who joined us at St. John’s, and to those participating through the livestream.
We are truly all in this together.
