Rev. Zach Hoover is the immediate past Executive Director of LA Voice, which he led for 15 years. Zach is ordained by the American Baptist Churches USA and holds a Master of Divinity from Harvard. Rev. Hoover has designed organizing campaigns that have changed systems and policies to help immigrant, formerly incarcerated, and low income Californians, all while growing people’s own sense of power and voice and their congregations’ public leadership. Most importantly, he helped bridge communities divided by race, class and geography. In addition to transition planning, he spent 2025 helping congregations recover from the fires and was on the front lines of the ICE assault on Los Angeles.
Zach is an avid cyclist, and he lives in Los Angeles with his wife and 11 year-old son.
