SALT was formed in the late 1990’s as a result of meetings of the Conference of Anglican Theologians with several Lutheran colleagues to discuss issues around the proposed Concordat and then to help work on the draft of “Called to Common Mission,” ultimately adopted by both denominations.” (Quoted from http://anglicanlutherantheologians.org/salt/)
