The heart of The Guibord Center's work is turning Religion Inside Out. The Kabbalah has been doing that for hundreds of years.

Only a truly wise person is able to take very complex material and present it in a way that opens it up to the listeners with all of its integrity and depth intact. Rabbi Mordecai Finley revealed in his talk on Kabbalah: The Journey into the Cosmic Soul that not only is he wise, he is entertaining as well.

Participants attending The Guibord Center – Religion Inside Out’s Special Speakers Series leaned forward in their seats fascinated as he laid out a map for understanding a world of differences between those who are content to deal with daily life and those whose souls are hungry to reach beyond this earth into experiencing poignant relationship with the Holy.

He presented the tongue-in-cheek, everything-you-need-to-know-in-five-minutes version of the history and evolution of The Kabbalah and then dove into the deep waters of the journey of the Soul and the profound and intimate, reciprocal and redemptive relationship – interconnectedness - between the brokenness of God and the brokenness of humankind.

Time flew and stood still. There were many penetrating questions and equally authentic responses. And at the end of our allotted time together, no one wanted to leave…
